Original Vintage Vox AC-30 Top Boost 1974 Amplifier – Mint

This is most probably as close to mint as you will find. I have had this amp for nearly 30 years and it has been “under the bed”, unused, only coming out for fresh air every now and then.

This model Vox was a return to the hand wired circuitry of the original JMI (Jennings Musical Industries) Vox AC-30 of the 1960’s. The following is an abridged quote from the UK Vox Showroom website. “Dallas Arbiter, a British company owned by CBS, took control of Vox in 1973. They produced this excellent hand wired AC-30 Top Boost amp from 1974 through 1979.

The introduction of these amps tell an amazing comeback story for both Vox and the AC-30. Both faced extinction in 1969. Vox production was moved to the Dallas Arbiter facility in Shoeburyness England. Dallas adopted the name “Vox Sound Limited” for their new enterprise. Early in their ownership of Vox, Dallas decided to discontinue the printed circuit version of the AC-30 and return the amp to the original hand wired, tag strip construction.

The new amp was again made with the same care and attention to detail as when JMI made the AC-30.”  Comes complete with padded vinyl cover.

The chrome stand is NOT included but another is available on one of our other listings. Note there is camera flare on one photo
